However, if classes have enough children at the beginning of the session for the class to start, children can join the class later in the session. If the class is a vendor class, Youth Guidance must seek approval from the vendor before adding children to the class. It is up to the vendor if vendor fees can be prorated for starting late.

What are the dates of the After School Program for 2016-2017 and who can register?
After School Programs are available to all STEM Magnet Academy students and the full time and part time program will start Monday, September 12 and run through Friday, June 16, 2017. The program runs on every day that school at STEM is in session.
When can my child start the after school program?
Enrollment is ongoing and registration can start with at least 24 hours advance notice as long as space is available. Tuition is not prorated for late start.
How long do the Fall enrichment classes run?
Fall enrichment classes will begin September 26 and end December 9, 2016 There are 9 to 11 classes in the session depending on the day of the week.
What will my child do each day in the after school program?
Each day, all students enrolled until 5:45pm can have homework help, enrichment activities, recess, and snack time.

Can I cancel my enrollment?
Yes, you can cancel your enrollment in the program. If you are registered for the full or part time program. Your notice of cancellation must be in writing (email will suffice) to the Resource Coordinator by the 1st of the month, previous to your date of cancellation. For example, if you want to cancel programming starting December 1st, you notice must be send to the Resource Coordinator by Nov 1st.
If you are registered as an enrichment only participant, any cancellations must be in writing to the Resource Coordinator by the session cancellation date.

Yes, a drop in day is a flat fee of $50/day for students not enrolled in programming. This fees allows your child to participate in homework/recess and stay until 5:45pm. Late fees apply after 5:45pm. Parents must complete a sign up and pay online in the billing portal https://youth-guidance.asapconnected.com/default.aspx
How does my child get from school to after school?
When students are dismissed for the day, teachers dismiss students on their way to the pick up door to the cafeteria. The cafeteria is where all of the students meet each day after school. Youth Guidance will communicate with STEM teachers about which students attend the after school program each day, however, if your child has a varying schedule (a couple days with Youth Guidance, a couple on the bus, a couple getting picked up) PLEASE COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CHILD REMINDING THEM ABOUT THEIR SCHEDULE. Please make sure to notify Ms. U of any absences to ensure the safety of your children. The best way to do that is through email, munterfranz@youth-guidance.org at least 24 hours in advance.

Out policy is that families are charged $1 for every minute after the end of the program the child is registered for (4:00, 5:00, or 5:45). Fees are due with the following month's tuition payment. If you are running late, please contact the Youth Guidance at STEM front desk at (312) 404-3219. This can help ease any concerns the child might have due to tardiness.
